Jonna Lee, Assistant Director for Research in Education Innovation
Jeonghyun (Jonna) Lee is a Research Scientist II and serves as an Assistant Director of Research in Education Innovation at Center for 21st Century Universities (C21U). Her expertise is students' learning motivation and engagement from behavioral, cognitive, and socio-cognitive perspectives. Based on her background as a learning scientist, Lee is interested in how the application of technology facilitates effective learning as well as student success in higher education settings. Prior to her current position, she worked as a Research Associate in the Chatbot Scaling Project team at the Office of Sr. Vice President for Student Success at Georgia State University. Lee earned her Ph.D. degree in educational psychology from the University of Texas at Austin.
Shawn Staudaher, Research Scientist
Shawn Staudaher is a Research Scientist at the Center for 21st Century Universities. He is interested in how machine learning and big data can bring insights to educational research and administrative decisions. Prior to C21U, he worked as a data scientist at ADP and the Data Science for Social Good program at Georgia Tech. He earned his PhD in physics at the University of Wyoming in 2017.
Farahnaz Soleimani, Research Scientist
Farahnaz is currently a Research Scientist for C21U with an interest in interdisciplinary fields. Her emphasis is on the application of Machine Learning techniques, data analysis, and statistical methods.
